MEDFORD — Whether a person is visiting OnTrack Rogue Valley in Medford for addiction treatment or just walking by, a new mural offers an upbeat message.

Illinois Valley sealed a berth in the state playoffs by taking both games of a District 6 doubleheader from Bonanza on Friday in Cave Junction.
The Cougars cruised to a 10-0 win in the opener and 16-6 in the nightcap.
The top two teams in District 6 automatically earn a spot in the Class 2A/1A state playoffs. Illinois Valley (13-4, 9-2) clinched second place Friday by sweeping Bonanza (7-8, 5-5), which will end up third.

A Stockton, California, man caught in Grants Pass with nearly 3 pounds of methaphetamine was sentenced Thursday to more than five years in prison.
Carlos H. Ortega, 49, also was placed on three years of post-prison supervision for his guilty plea in Josephine County Circuit Court to a felony charge of delivery of methamphetamine.
