Another county department head is out and more layoffs appear to be in the works at the unsettled Josephine County Courthouse.

Jim Goodwin, director of the county juvenile justice department since 2012, confirmed to the Daily Courier on Monday that he has resigned, effective this Friday.

Goodwin had been with the department since 1999 and became director during a period of intense budget cuts in 2012 that temporarily forced closure of the county's juvenile detention facility. Read More »
