Kohl's operated more than 1,150 department stores across the United States as of first quarter of 2013. Stores target middle-income and value-focused customers and feature moderately priced, nationally known brands of apparel, shoes, accessories, and housewares. In addition to national brand merchandise, the stores also offer private-label and exclusive-label goods, which make up more than 50% of total sales, up from 25% in 2004. |
