Comcast is the largest operator in the cable industry. Its networks reach 53 million households, serving 22 million video, 19 million Internet access, and 10 million phone customers. Comcast combined its cable networks with NBC Universal to create a new 51%-owned venture in 2011. The new NBCU owns 28 national or regional cable networks, the NBC broadcast network, two theme parks, and a film studio. Comcast has announced plans to buy General Electric's 49% stake in NBCU.
