Cytec is one of the leading producers of advanced carbon composites, focusing especially on aerospace applications of composites to create stronger, more fuel-efficient airplanes. Cytec also manufactures finished chemical products such as mining reagents, architectural coatings, and adhesives, as well as intermediate products that are then processed by other chemical companies. The firm generated almost two thirds of its 2008 revenue overseas.
