Post Properties is an Atlanta-based real estate investment trust founded in 1971. The company acquires, develops, and manages higher-end apartment buildings. The firm's portfolio is mostly based in the southern U.S. and consisted of 58 apartment properties, altogether totaling approximately 22,000 units, at the end of 2008. Post also has a smaller for-sale condo business. Atlanta and Dallas contributed about 27% and 19% to 2008 rental revenue, respectively.
