Laclede Group is a public natural-gas utility that provides service to nearly 650,000 customers in eastern Missouri. Residential customers account for the majority of its utility revenues, with commercial customers making up the remainder. Through its Laclede Development subsidiary, the company develops real estate properties. Laclede Group also engages in the exploration for oil and natural gas through Lima Resources Associates, a limited partnership of which the company is the general partner. Another subsidiary provides wholesale gas marketing.
