Olin is the third-largest chlor-alkali producer in North America, manufacturing chlorine and caustic soda. Olin's chlor-alkali products are sold to downstream customers, who process these chemicals into a variety of industrial and household products, such as vinyl siding and bleach, or use them in various industrial processes. Olin also manufactures small-arms ammunition under the Winchester brand. The Winchester segment contributed less than 30% of total revenue for 2008.
