Founded in 1982, RehabCare Group provides rehabilitation services to hospitals and skilled nursing facilities in over 1,400 hospitals across the U.S. The firm offers services through three primary operating segments: inpatient and outpatient hospital rehabilitation services, contract therapy services, and freestanding rehabilitation hospitals, a segment recently formed in 2005. In 2006, the firm acquired Symphony Health Services, a rival provider of contract therapy services.
