BALTIMORE (AP) -- In a story May 19 about the Tampa Bay Rays' 3-1 victory over the Baltimore Orioles, The Associated Press, using information from the Orioles' game notes, reported erroneously that 23-year-old Matt Moore is the youngest lefty to start the season 8-0 since Babe Ruth in 1917. Moore is the youngest left-handed American League pitcher used exclusively as a starter to start 8-0 since Ruth in 1917....

Correction: Cyprus-Breaking Barriers story
NICOSIA, Cyprus (AP) -- In a story April 27 marking the 10th anniversary of the breaching of the barriers carving up Cyprus, The Associated Press erroneously reported that Yiannis Maratheftis had written a book detailing his experiences. The book was about Maratheftis' experiences, but not written by him. It was written by Panikos Neocleous....

BOSTON (AP) -- In a story May 19 about a Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority officer shot in a showdown with the Boston Marathon bombing suspects, The Associated Press incorrectly spelled the officer's last name. He is Officer Richard Donohue, not Donahue....

Correction: Tunisia-Salafi Crackdown story
TUNIS, Tunisia (AP) -- In a May 15 story about the Tunisian government taking a harder line on preaching by ultraconservative Muslim groups ahead of this past weekend's conference by the group known as Ansar al-Shariah, The Associated Press reported erroneously that about 40,000 people attended the group's conference last year. About 4,000 people attended the conference in Kairouan in 2012....

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) -- In a story May 16 about a shutdown at the Shearon Harris nuclear power plant, The Associated Press reported erroneously that the reactor vessel contains superheated steam.
