Police identify remains found in Tucson desert
TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) -- Police say human remains found in the desert outside of Tucson have been identified as those of a woman who went missing more than a year ago.
Tucson television station KVOA reports (http://bit.ly/1eyV8bh ) the medical examiner's office recently determined through DNA testing that the remains were Victoria Delgado's.
Pima County Homicide Detective James Brown says it was a violent, horrible death, and somebody out there knows what happened to Delgado.
Detectives say she had three children who were living in New Mexico, but she had become involved in drugs and other illegal activity.
Delgado was last seen in September 2012. Shortly before she was listed as a missing person, Tucson police says she was seen with a man who had the nickname of "Dizzy" or "Drake."
