Snow to continue in western Colorado through Tuesday morning
DENVER (AP) -- Snow is expected to continue to fall over western Colorado through Tuesday morning.
Total accumulations from the latest storm which started Saturday night were expected to reach up to 20 inches. But the National Weather Service says automated sensors detected between 13 and 25 inches in the West Elk and Sawatch ranges and up to 20 inches in the San Juans by midday Monday as the snow continued to fall.
Authorities closed the westbound Interstate 70 at the summit of Vail Pass because of an accident but reopened it later.
