Coroner: Older man killed self in double shooting

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) -- Authorities say a 26-year-old man was shot to death and a 73-year-old fatally shot himself in a suspected murder-suicide in Fort Collins.

A coroner's news release issued Friday didn't say whether the older man shot the younger one, but police have said the incident appeared to be a murder-suicide.

Seventy-three-year-old Gene Kapperman and 26-year-old Brandon Kapperman were found dead Thursday afternoon in a southwestern Fort Collins home.

A woman had called police and said her husband had shot a family member and then himself.

Investigators have not said how the two were related or what led to the shooting.
