Branford marijuana dispensary to begin selling in Sept. after counseling starts in Aug.

BRANFORD, Conn. (AP) -- A Branford marijuana dispensary plans to begin selling pot in September.

Manager, Nick Tamborrino says Bluepoint Wellness of Connecticut, one of six state-approved dispensaries of medical marijuana, will open probably around the last week in August for counseling.

The New Haven Register reports ( http://bit.ly/1rJb1We ) that Bluepoint Wellness and the other dispensaries will serve 2,000 patients who registered with the state Department of Consumer Protection.

Registered patients may legally consume products, including brownies, cookies, e-cigarette liquid and pills, made at the state's four wholesale growing facilities.
