Metro: 3 lines to be affected by weekend work
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Metro says orange line riders and riders traveling on portions of the red and green lines will experience delays this weekend.
Orange line trains will run every 18 minutes, and the green line's Greenbelt station will be closed. Passengers traveling to and from Greenbelt will need to use free shuttle buses.
Metro says that on the red line, trains will operate every 20 minutes between Shady Grove and Glenmont. There will be additional trains every 10 to 12 minutes between Friendship Heights and NoMa-Gallaudet on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
There will be regular service on the silver, blue and yellow lines.
