CINCINNATI (AP) -- Tony Pike got back on the field for the first time in a month and threw a touchdown on his first pass for fifth-ranked Cincinnati.
Pike came in during Cincinnati's opening drive against West Virginia on Friday night and threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Armon Binns on his first snap, putting the Bearcats up 7-0.
Pike damaged a plate in his non-throwing forearm during a win at South Florida on Oct. 15 and needed surgery. Sophomore Zach Collaros started the next four games, including Friday night.
Collaros went 2 of 4 for 25 yards on the opening drive, then went to the sideline and let Pike finish it off.
Pike is expected to start Cincinnati's next game against Illinois.
