2 killed in expressway motorcycle crash


JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- Authorities say two people were killed when their motorcycle hit a concrete barrier, throwing them from an expressway.

The Florida Times-Union (http://goo.gl/MjVX1U) reports that the crash occurred early Friday morning.

The Florida Highway Patrol reports that 39-year-old Eli Michael Holley failed to negotiate the curve on the ramp from Arlington Expressway onto the Southside Connector. He and his passenger, 34-year-old Renae Nichole McLaughlin, fell to the street below.

FHP says they were both pronounced dead at the scene.
