Man gets life sentenced for fatal shooting
PENSACOLA, Fla. (AP) -- A Pensacola man has been sentenced to life in prison for fatally shooting another man.
The Pensacola News Journal (http://goo.gl/kBnGnL) reports that 24-year-old Tony Stroud Jr. was sentenced Wednesday after a jury found him guilty of first-degree murder.
Escambia County prosecutors say Tyler Evans' body was found at the rear of an undeveloped neighborhood in August 2014. The cause of death was determined to be a single gunshot wound to the head.
Witness testimony and forensic evidence linked Stroud to the killing.
