Damage surveys show 2 weak tornadoes hit C. Ind.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- The National Weather Service says storm surveys show two weak tornadoes struck central Indiana.

It says an EF0 tornado occurred around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday just south of the Putnam County town of Roachdale and was on the ground for less than a quarter mile, damaging a barn, shed and some trees. Roachdale is 35 miles west of Indianapolis

About 10 minutes later, another EF0 tornado with winds up to 85 mph struck near the town of North Salem, about 25 miles west of Indianapolis. The weather service says it toppled trees, snapped limbs, and damaged a barn.

The tornadoes were part of a large line of storms that swept across central Indiana causing sporadic damage and power outages in many areas.

No injuries have been reported.
