Police say a North Andover mother has been killed in a head-on traffic crash that occurred with her two children in her car

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. (AP) -- Police say a North Andover mother has been killed in a head-on traffic crash that occurred with her two children in her car.

The crash occurred at about 5:30 Tuesday on Great Pond Road.

The victim's car collided with a pickup truck.

Police identified the victim as 35-year-old Jennifer Morse, of North Andover. The children in the car were transported to Tufts Medical Center in Boston with serious injuries. The driver of the pickup was taken to Lawrence General Hospital.

The children's ages were not disclosed but a witness told the Eagle-Tribune that they appeared to be about 6 and 9 years old.

Police say witnesses told them Morse's car had been operating erratically just before the crash.

No charges have been filed.
