Police I.D. mother, daughter killed in Maine crash | ||||||
AUBURN, Maine (AP) -- Auburn police have released the names of the mother and daughter killed when their car was hit by a pickup truck that crossed the center line of a city street. WGME-television says police identified the victims as 36-year-old Lisa White and her 4-year-old daughter Marissa Police say the accident happened on Minot Avenue shortly before 2 p.m. Saturday. Officials say White was killed instantly and Marissa later died at Central Maine Medical Center. White's 12-year-old daughter was also in the car. She was hospitalized. Police say the driver of the other vehicle and a passenger were also hurt, but the extent of their injuries is unclear.
