WILLIAMSBURG, Mo. (AP) -- A woman and her infant son have died in a home explosion in mid-Missouri. Firefighters rushed to the home in rural Callaway County after receiving a report of an explosion around 4 p.m. Saturday. The house was destroyed, but there was no fire when they arrived. The bodies of 20-year-old Amber Smith and 4-month-old Simon Smith were found around 5:30 p.m. in the debris. Another resident wasn't home at the time of the explosion. North Callaway Fire Protection District spokesman Sterling Mitchell says the state fire marshal's office is investigating. Autopsies are scheduled for Monday. © 2009 The Associated Press.
