Arrest made after man shot to death at North Carolina lounge

HICKORY, N.C. (AP) -- An arrest has been made in the shooting death of a man at a lounge in western North Carolina.

Hickory police spokeswoman Chrystal Dieter said in a news release that officers were called to a lounge early Saturday.

Dieter said officers found 37-year-old Shamar Rashad Wilson of Hickory in the parking lot. He was taken to Frye Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Dieter said 41-year-old Bradley Dwayne Davis of Statesville turned himself in to police Monday morning Davis is charged with murder. He was being held without bond. He did not yet have an attorney.

No motive has been released, but police have said the shooting did not appear to be a random act.
