Warren Buffett's firm buys 1.3M more DaVita shares
OMAHA, Neb. (AP) -- Berkshire Hathaway Inc. bought more than 1.3 million more shares of DaVita Inc. when shares of the dialysis firm slipped below $60 a share.
Warren Buffett's company said in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission that it now owns nearly 36.5 million DaVita shares.
Berkshire now owns about 17.1 percent of DaVita, but it has agreed not to buy more than 25 percent of the Denver-based company unless, both companies agree.
Denver-based DaVita runs nearly 2,000 outpatient dialysis clinics.
Berkshire made its latest share purchases between Thursday and Monday at prices between $56.91 and $60 per share.
