Police: Man shot to death in convenience store parking lot
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) -- Police are investigating a shooting death in a convenience store parking lot in Syracuse.
Officers responded to a 911 call at 11:45 p.m. Friday. They found the 30-year-old victim shot in the head in the parking lot of the Expressway Market near Interstate 81.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. He was later identified as Maurice Ross of Syracuse.
Syracuse police say Ross was shot after an altercation with another man. They say the gunman and a companion fled on foot. Police have made no arrests.
