Cops checking on woman, 77, find her body in Buffalo-area home; homicide investigation begins

WEST SENECA, N.Y. (AP) -- Authorities say they want to question the son of a 77-year-old woman whose death inside her suburban Buffalo apartment has been ruled a homicide.

Police in West Seneca say Monday that the body of Carol Quinn was found in her living room Saturday afternoon. They haven't said how she was killed.

Officers spoke with Quinn's 45-year-old son, Primitivo Cruz, when he arrived on the scene Saturday. Now they're looking for him for further questioning.

Police Chief Daniel Denz says Cruz recently stayed with his mother and had been charged with harassment following an argument with her about a week ago.

Quinn was a retired teacher's aide.
