Fire destroys Marion County duplex; body found

SALEM, Ore. (AP) -- Detectives say a male body has been found in a residence that burned near Jefferson in southern Marion County.

The sheriff's office says a duplex was destroyed. The fire broke out about 3 a.m. Wednesday.

Investigators said they don't yet know the cause of the fire.

Jefferson is about 10 miles northeast of Albany.
