Police, DA release video of car in school bus hit-and-run

LANCASTER, Pa. (AP) -- Police and the district attorney have released surveillance video that shows the car involved in a hit-and-run crash with a Pennsylvania school bus that injured more than a dozen people.

East Lampeter Township police Chief John Bowman released the video Thursday saying, "It's pretty much all hands on deck to locate the vehicle and hopefully have a conversation with the driver."

Police say the white or light-colored car, believed to be Chevrolet Malibu, tried to pass two tractor trailers Wednesday morning but hit one of their escort vehicles. That vehicle then sideswiped the oncoming bus which tipped over after hitting one of the tractor trailers.

Lancaster Mennonite officials say the bus was carrying 14 students, including a 6-year-old Locust Grove elementary student who remained in critical but stable condition Friday in a Philadelphia hospital.
