Coach charged with impregnating girl in country illegally
PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- A soccer coach at a Philadelphia-owned playground who is jailed on charges he got a now-15-year-old girl pregnant is in the country illegally and faces deportation.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents tell WTXF-TV that 39-year-old Francisco Prado-Contreras voluntarily returned to Mexico after he was found in the country illegally in 2001, but somehow returned.
He's been jailed since he was arrested last week on charges including statutory sexual assault.
The city's Department of Human Services contacted police after learning of the girl's pregnancy. She told investigators she played soccer for Prado-Contreras then asked him for a job with a house-cleaning service he runs. After going to work for him, she says Prado-Contreras coerced her into having sex for money five times.
His defense attorney didn't immediately return a call Tuesday.
