Texas retail gasoline prices fall by 3-cent average as Gulf Coast refineries come back online
IRVING, Texas (AP) -- Retail gasoline prices across Texas have dropped by three cents over the last week.
AAA Texas on Thursday reported the average statewide unleaded price at the pump fell to $3.11.
Of the metropolitan areas surveyed in Texas, drivers in Dallas and Fort Worth are paying the most at $3.15 and those in Amarillo are paying the least at $2.93.
Texans now are paying about $44 to fill up a 14-gallon fuel tank.
Wholesale gas prices along the Gulf Coast have declined over the last week as production concerns have lessened and refineries previously under maintenance have come back online.
