Texas wanted list sex offender caught in Oklahoma
AUSTIN, Texas (AP) -- A convicted felon on the Texas Department of Public Safety's 10 Most Wanted sex offender list has been caught in Oklahoma after fleeing from a Dallas halfway house.
DPS says 51-year-old Robert Charles Grunsfeld of Dallas was captured late Monday afternoon at a fast food restaurant in McAlester, Okla., after a weekend on the run.
Records show Grunsfeld has convictions for aggravated sexual assault and sexual assault, plus burglary, fraud and carrying a prohibited weapon. Grunsfeld in 2010 was ordered to live at a Dallas halfway house to participate in the civil commitment program.
DPS says Grunsfeld last Friday intentionally cut off his electronic ankle monitor and fled.
