CENTENNIAL, Colo. (AP) -- A Colorado judge has released five search warrants filed hours after the Aurora movie theater shooting that show where investigators immediately looked for leads.

James Holmes is charged with killing 12 and injuring 70 in the July 20 shooting spree at a midnight screening of the latest Batman movie.

The warrants show that in the hours after the attack, investigators wanted to search his bank records and iPod Touch. They also tried to determine the contents of packages Holmes received at several different addresses. Authorities have said Holmes ordered thousands of rounds of ammunition online.

The documents released Wednesday didn't show what investigators found.

Holmes wants to plead not guilty by reason of insanity. He's due to appear in court Thursday for a routine hearing.
