Gold is ending higher in Wednesday trading.

The August contract is up $7.10 to $1,374 per ounce. Silver and copper are lower with platinum and palladium off by more than 1 percent.

Benchmark crude finished 20 cents lower at $98.24 per barrel on the Nymex. Other energy contracts were higher.

Wheat, corn and soybeans are up for the day.
