KAILUA, Hawaii (AP) -- How President Barack Obama spent the ninth day of his family's holiday vacation in Hawaii on Saturday:

- MORNING AT HOME: President Obama stayed at his Kailua vacation home on a sunny day on Oahu until shortly after noon, when he took a short ride to Marine Corps Base Hawaii.

- GOLF TIME: The president was hitting the links again with friends Greg Orme, Bobby Titcomb and Mike Ramos, this time at the Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course at the base.

- CONGRATULATORY CALL: This afternoon, the president phoned Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julián Castro to congratulate him and his wife, Erica, on the birth of their son Cristian Julián Castro. President Obama and the first lady sent their best wishes to the entire Castro family.
