Are Stocks Bouncing Back?

NEW YORK (AP) -- Stock futures are pointing to a higher opening as investors try to snap a three-day losing streak.

A weakening dollar Monday is again expected to help stocks, which have been trading in the opposite direction of the currency. Stocks are also likely following overseas markets, which are rising sharply.

Investors are awaiting a deluge of new economic reports during the week to determine the pace of a recovery, starting with data on existing home sales. The report is expected so show sales rose 1.4 percent in October.

Dow Jones industrial average futures are up 90, or 0.9 percent, at 10,393. Standard & Poor's 500 index futures are up 10.90, or 1 percent, at 1,101.00, while Nasdaq 100 index futures are up 16.75, or 1 percent, at 1,780.25.
