Funeral set for Monday for Racine soldier

WONEWOC, Wis. (AP) -- The funeral for the second Wisconsin soldier killed in the Fort Hood, Texas, shooting rampage will be Monday.

Steve Mitchell, director of Thompson Funeral Home in Wonewoc, says on Friday evening the funeral for Army Reserve Capt. Russell Seager of Racine will be at 3 p.m. Monday at the Wonewoc (wah-NEE-Woc) Center School in Wonewoc.

The funeral and burial are planned in Wonewoc because Seager, 51, is a native of the area, Mitchell said.

Funeral services for Army Reserve Staff Sgt. Amy Krueger are Saturday at the high school gym in Kiel.

The 29-year-old Krueger and Seager were among 13 killed in the Nov. 5 shooting. Authorities say Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan fired off more than 100 rounds at a soldier processing center before police shot him in the torso.
