Police Officer Fatally Shoots Man At A Home, New Hampshire Attorney General Says

NORTHWOOD, N.H. (AP) — A police officer fatally shot a man at a home in Northwood after the two got involved in a physical altercation, the New Hampshire attorney general's office said Tuesday.

Police responded to the home along Route 4 following a report of domestic violence between the man and his father about 5:15 a.m. Tuesday, the office said in a news release.

“During this altercation, the officer used deadly force and fired" his gun at the man, who was identifed as Malcolm Burns, 34, the office said.

The officer suffered non-life-threatening injuries, the office said.

The officer's name hasn't been released. An investigation is ongoing.
