Driver Arrested In Connection With Hit-And-Run In Rochester

ROCHESTER, N.H. (AP) — A driver has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run earlier this month that left a man seriously injured, Rochester, New Hampshire, police said Thursday.

The driver, a 69-year-old woman from Rochester, is facing a charge of conduct after an accident. A phone number couldn't be found for her and it's unknown if she has attorney.

Police said Matthew Lefebvre, 36, of Rochester, was struck while he was jogging shortly before 6 a.m. on Oct. 11. It was dark at the time, but he was wearing a headlamp and front and rear strobes, police said.

After striking Lefebvre, the driver fled, police said.

Lefebvre, who is still hospitalized, has nine broken ribs, a broken sternum, a broken shoulder blade, shattered vertebrae and other injuries, his wife told WMUR-TV.

“He was hit to the ground, ran over and caught underneath the car and then ran over again when they were trying to flee from the scene,” Nicole Lefebvre said.
