Utah mom arrested for threatening to shoot up dental office

SARATOGA SPRINGS, Utah (AP) — A Saratoga Springs mother is accused of threatening to shoot employees at a dental office because she had to reschedule her children's appointment.

The Daily Herald in Provo reported Friday that 43-year-old Linda Morford was booked on suspicion of a threat of terrorism.

It was not immediately known if she had an attorney to represent her.

According to a police report, Morford called the office Thursday to say her two children would be late.

Authorities say she became angry when told she would have to reschedule.

Morford allegedly said that armed people would come to the office and she would "kill everybody" if she had to reschedule again.

Her threat led to a lockdown.

Police say she downplayed the threat when they questioned her.
