HERMANVILLE, Miss. (AP) — A 14-year-old Mississippi girl is accused of fatally stabbing a 16-year-old boy, and two of her adult relatives are accused of failing to stop her.
D’Tavious Dorsey was killed in Hermanville on May 25, apparently after a dispute over a basketball game, news outlets reported.
Claiborne County sheriff's deputies said they were called to an apartment complex where they were told the girl had stabbed Dorsey, news outlets reported. He had been driven to a hospital where he died, The Vicksburg Post reported.
Investigators said the girl called an aunt after wounding Dorsey. The aunt and the girl's mother showed up to confront him, but did not stop the fatal stabbing, news outlets reported.
The 14-year-old's bond was set last week at $100,000 in Claiborne County Justice Court, and her relatives' at $50,000 each, news outlets reported.
