WESTMINSTER, Colo. (AP) — Colorado police shot and wounded a man while serving a search warrant at a residence in Westminster.
Westminster police spokeswoman Cheri Spottke says the shooting occurred about 5:45 a.m. Wednesday when the man pointed a gun at the SWAT officers.
The man, whose name was not released, was taken to a hospital but his condition was not immediately available.
Spottke says no officers were hurt in the incident.
She had no information about what the search warrant was about and no other details, including how many times the suspect was shot or how many officers fired their weapons, were made available.
The shooting is under investigation.
