Victim of Cape Cod crash identified as Stoughton woman

BOURNE, Mass. (AP) — The victim of a fatal crash on Cape Cod on Thanksgiving Day has been identified by state police as a Stoughton woman.

Cassandra Williams, 23, died after her car veered off Route 25 eastbound in Bourne at about 3:15 p.m. Thursday, state police said in a statement Friday.

Williams, the only occupant of the vehicle, was taken to Tobey Hospital in Wareham where she was pronounced dead, authorities said.

The crash, including why the car left the roadway, remains under investigation. No other information was released.
