Shooting in store parking lot leaves man dead, 2 wounded

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — A shooting in a Philadelphia store parking lot left one man dead and two others wounded, authorities said.

The shots rang out around 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Officers who happened to be at the store investigating an unrelated matter heard the shots and soon found a man inside a vehicle that had a bullet hole in the passenger side window, authorities said. The man had been shot in the face and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The two wounded men , ages 31 and 23, ran into the store looking for help. They were taken to a hospital and remain there in stable condition, but their names have not been released.

A motive for the shooting remains under investigation. It wasn't clear Wednesday if any of the three men had been targeted.
