Truck driver accused of striking, running over woman again

MEDIA, Pa. (AP) — Prosecutors say a man has been charged with murdering a woman by hitting her with his pickup truck and then running over her again at a service station in southeastern Pennsylvania.

The Delaware County district attorney's office says 36-year-old Daniel Williams is charged with criminal homicide, first- and third-degree murder, aggravated assault and other counts.

Tinicum Township police found the front of the store destroyed and two women on the ground just before 9 p.m. Thursday. Twenty-six-year-old Shantel Harmon died. The other woman was treated.

Prosecutors say Harmon ran screaming through the lot toward the store but was "violently struck" by the truck, which then backed up, ran her over again and crashed into the front of the store before fleeing.

Court documents don't list an attorney for Williams.
