NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Small businesses in three Tennessee counties can apply for federal economic injury disaster loans as a result of flooding from Tropical Storm Alberto last year.
The deadline is April 8. Assistance is available in Cocke, Greene and Unicoi counties for small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, small businesses engaged in aquaculture and most private nonprofit organizations.
The U.S. Small Business Administration says the counties are eligible because they're contiguous to one or more primary counties in North Carolina.
The loans are for working capital and can be up to $2 million.
Applications can be made online , by calling (800) 659-2955 or (800) 877-8339 for the deaf and hard-of-hearing or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
