Home builder to establish $14M Tennessee facility

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — A home building company plans to set up a $14 million Tennessee facility expected to create about 110 new jobs.

On Monday, the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development announced that the Clayton Supply facility in Westmoreland is aiming to begin operations in early 2020. The Maryville, Tennessee-based company plans to add the new workers over the next two years.

The facility will manufacture wall panels and trusses for single and multifamily residential site-built homes.

Clayton is one of the largest homebuilders in the nation and currently employs about 5,400 people in Tennessee. It's a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway.
