WHAT’S AT STAKE?
While both teams come in unbeaten, Louisiana-Lafayette is trying to preserve a Top 25 ranking. Coastal Carolina is trying to get the attention of poll voters by knocking off a ranked team. Both teams also aim to remain atop their divisions, the Ragin’ Cajuns in the West and Chanticleers in the East.
Coastal Carolina ranks near the top of the Sun Belt in rushing defense but will be tested by a Ragin’ Cajuns offense featuring a pair of running backs -- Elijah Mitchell and Trey Ragas -- who each have 1,000-yard seasons to their name.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Coastal Carolina: QB Grayson McCall was named the Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week on Oct. 5 after passing for 322 yards and four TDs, and running for 44 yards, in the Chanticleers’ 52-23 win over Arkansas State.
Louisiana-Lafayette: QB Levi Lewis passed for 290 yards in a victory over Georgia Southern last week, bringing his season total to 723 yards.
