The Grants Pass City Council continues to strengthen the city's position ahead of an upcoming court hearing that could determine the city's ability to enforce homeless camping rules for years.
A hearing is scheduled this coming Tuesday for a judge to decide whether to grant a preliminary injunction in a lawsuit filed against the city of Grants Pass by Disability Rights Oregon and five homeless people. Read More »

Lease's Crater Comets won the Class 5A girls' basketball state championship game at Linfield University on Saturday in McMinnville, beating South Albany 64-58 in overtime to claim the crown. Read More »
Thursday is the deadline to file for the May ballot, in which seats are up for grabs on every school board and fire district in Jackson and Josephine counties.
In Jackson County, every school board has two or more openings: Ashland, Butte Falls, Central Point, Eagle Point, Medford, Phoenix-Talent, Pinehurst, Prospect and Rogue River.

Who knew there was so much drama, romance and laughs at IKEA, the Swedish discount furniture and housewares store?
Playwright Gary Ray Stapp had an inkling when he wrote "Lost (and Found) in IKEA" in 2017.
And playgoers will have a chance to partake when the show opens at the Barnstormers Theatre in Grants Pass on Friday.
It hasn't been widely produced, but it was chosen for the Barnstormers season after the artistic committee enjoyed it and went looking for a director. Read More »
