Easton Curtis scored three huge baskets in the fourth quarter as North Medford ended the regular season with a 49-41 Southwest Conference boys' basketball win over South Medford on Thursday at Oakdale Middle School.
The win lifted to the Black Tornado (14-10, 7-5) into a three-way tie for second place in the SWC standings with the Panthers (11-13, 7-5) and Grants Pass (11-13, 7-5), which won six of it last seven games.

After living more than half a century in southwest Oregon, Jack Shipley says he is going home. But he is not talking about his longtime residence in the beautiful Applegate Valley.
He is leaving March 11 for Glastonbury in the United Kingdom, the home of his ancient Shipley ancestors.
