State Rep. Dwayne Yunker, R-Grants Pass, cast more "no" votes than any other member of the Oregon House of Representatives during the recently completed legislative session. He also failed to secure any money for infrastructure in Grants Pass and Cave Junction while several other Southern Oregon cities represented by Republican and Democratic legislators nabbed funding.

Grants Pass and Cave Junction missed out on millions of dollars of infrastructure funding to help spur housing construction during state Rep. Dwayne Yunker's first session in the Oregon Legislature.
In Grants Pass alone, a proposed water line extension could have brought water to undeveloped land large enough for 2,500 housing units, according to city staff.
Builders say lack of infrastructure is a major barrier to home construction.

With the score knotted at 1-1 in the fifth inning, Dane Kissel smacked a two-run homer to help North Valley to a 3-2 non-league baseball win over cross-town rival Hidden Valley on Friday in Murphy.
Kash Lawless started the fifth with a single for the Knights.
Then, with two outs, Kissel got a first-pitch fastball and smoked it over the left-field fence.
